INTRODUCTION:
The children of Israel suffered defeat in the hands of Ai because of the son of Achan. Achan was exposed, the nation was cleansed and God was willing to work with them again. Sin always invites defeats and God's displeasure. But the decision to purge ourselves of every form of sin would bring the Lord of hosts to our side. May He teach us today in Jesus name. Amen.
A. THE DANGER OF DISOBEDIENCE Disobedience is the first sin in the Garden of Eden and what robbed Adam and Eve their bliss. Disobedience of one man robbed the whole of Israel of victory. Achan disobeyed God by touching the forbidden thing. Joshua disobeyed by not committing his way to God. Israel disobeyed by not praying for its leaders.

B. FEAR NOT The only people who can hear "fear not" are those on the side of God. Though there is a 'fear not' for every given day, none is meant for the enemies. Those who are not on the side of God have many things to fear.
