INTRODUCTION:
Deception is a strong weapon in all warfare, but the story of the Gibeonites is a classical example of deception in spiritual warfare. The Gibeonites were afraid that their land would be taken from them and they would suffer the same fate as the people of Jericho and Ai. The Israelites were a threat to the Gibeonites just as every believer is a threat to the kingdom of Satan. The Gibeonites deceived Joshua and the Israelites, and the devil is doing that on a daily basis. May we learn how to fight and win in Jesus name. Amen.
A. ELEMENTS OF A DECEPTIVE SITUATION There are some traits common to all deceptions. These include the deceiver, the deceived, the relationship that subsists, the purpose of deception, the implementation, and the result.

Conclusion: It is dangerous to be a deceiver.
